MOONG DAL CHILA

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 ½  cup green gram and chickpeas batter  
  • 1 tbsp oil  
  • Corn kernels as required 
For tempering
  • 2 tsp ghee  
  • 1 tsp asafoetida   
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds  
  • ½ tsp chopped ginger  
  • ½ tsp chopped green chilli   
  • Salt to taste 
For garnish 
  • Ketchup as required

METHOD 

  • For tempering put ghee in a pan and then add asafoetida, caraway seeds, chopped ginger and chopped green chilli.
  • Now add this temper to the green gram and chickpeas batter. Then add salt and water in it. 
  • Heat oil in a pan and pour the batter in it to make the chila. Add corn kernels and cook it from both sides. 
  • Pack the chila with ketchup in the tiffin.
  • Moong Dal Chila is ready to eat.
